Early Grade Reading
A quality education is key to building a good life and better employment opportunities. However, many local kids struggle to read by 3rd grade. This initiative focuses on the importance of early brain development and its impact on later educational success. Thrive by Five means we will invest in an array of strategies that support young children’s physical, cognitive, social and emotional readiness for starting school. Additionally, we will focus on increasing access to books and reducing summer learning loss.
