United Way Celebrates Community Raising $5,130,000

United Way of Brevard celebrated the hundreds of organizations and thousands of individuals who came together to raise funds that will help our neighbors meet basic needs and build an even better life for themselves and their families. The Awards Celebration, held Tuesday, April 25 at the Hilton Garden Inn Cocoa Beach honored the outstanding achievements and the amazing community members who raised $5,130,000. Special thanks to Jackie Barker, SKY Advertising for serving as our 2022 United Way Campaign Chair. (Thank you to Mick Barker for standing in for his wife.) Congratulations to Timothy M. L3Harris and its employees were the largest contributors, raising $1.4M. Publix Super Markets and its associates again joined L3Harris in the million dollar circle this year making it the second largest campaign.

MH Williams Construction Group, Inc., Carr, Riggs & Ingram, Raymond James & Associates, Inc., Community Credit Union of Florida, Space Florida, Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast, FirstWave Financial and Lotane & Associates, P.A. were all awarded Campaign Awards of Distinction. This recognizes those organizations that are our consistently top performers. Additional recognition went to Space Coast Credit Union and Kennedy Space Center Visitors Complex, who were both awarded a Campaign Excellence Award in recognition of their outstanding employee campaign.



Our top annual recognition – the Chairman’s award is given annual by United Way’s Board chair to an organization that supports our community through United Way. In addition to consistently running a quality annual campaign, the organization must exhibit a strong commitment to Brevard through a variety of activities, involving their employees and stakeholders. Coastal Ambulance Service has been selected as our 2022 Chairman’s Award winner.
