Volunteer opportunities are listed at brevardzoo.org. Brevard Zoo asks volunteers to make a 6-month or longer, 4-hour weekly commitment. Brevard Zoo is open 363 days of the year (Closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas). Restoreourshores.org has short-term opportunites.

Central Brevard Sharing Center is looking for volunteers for various postions: can sorting, donation sorting, community kitchen and shower monitoring. CBSC is open Monday thru Friday (9am-3pm), Saturdays (9am-12pm) and Sundays (2pm-3pm). Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to volunteer without a parent or guardian.

Early Head Start is looking for volunteer landscapers Monday thru Friday (11:30 am-2:00 pm).

Early Head Start is a community-based program for income-eligible families, infants, and toddlers. Meal Delivery volunteer services are requested Monday-Friday (10:30 AM-11:30 AM) at the Palm Bay location.

Children's Home Society is looking for mentors during school hours at Endeavor Elementary in Cocoa. They also need assistance with helping teachers copy papers, file, and make packets. General shift is typically between (7:30 AM-2:30 PM) Monday thru Friday.

Computers Advancing Education is looking for volunteers to help refurbish donated computers on Tuesdays (12 PM-6 PM). CAEI serves needy students, schools and other nonprofits.

New Life Mission is looking for volunteers to help with office administration tasks Monday thru Friday (9am-4pm) and Saturdays (9-11am). All ages are welcome, but children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent.

Project Response is looking for a Front Desk Receptionist to be available Monday- Friday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Please contact us for more information. They are also looking for assitance with their onsite food pantry.

Caring Adults needed to volunteer to read to children in classrooms once a week for approximately 30 minutes. Volunteers can be assigned to the same classroom. Background check is required but provided by the agency. Programs are in schools thoughout the county.
