United Way of Brevard has Little Free Libraries throughout Brevard as part of efforts to improve third grade reading. Research shows that a strong education leads to better employment opportunities and a more competitive workforce. However, there are many children in our community who are not reading on grade level by third grade, making it much harder for them to succeed in school. That’s why United Way is working to address this challenge by giving kids in our community greater access to books. Several of our Little Libraires are in need of repair and maintenance. If you would like to volunteer to repair one or several of our little libraries please contact us. We have sites all throughout the county.
